Terms of service

Effective May 13, 2026. Detail Near is operated by UNODATA, LLC. By creating an account or using the platform, you accept these terms. Pilot tenants operating under a separate written agreement are governed by that agreement first; these terms apply to any matter the agreement does not cover.

1. The service

Detail Near is a software as a service operating system for mobile car detailing businesses. Subscribed tenants get an admin console, a customer storefront, an AI booking and retention engine, and the integrations described on the product page. Features evolve over time; we may add, change, or retire individual features as long as the core service remains available.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Keep your credentials confidential. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be authorized to bind the business you are subscribing on behalf of, and you must be at least eighteen years old.

3. Subscription and billing

Detail Near is sold on a monthly or annual subscription. Pricing is published at /pricing. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel from the admin console. Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize us to charge the payment method on file at each renewal. Annual plans are non refundable except where required by law and except for the ninety day proof described below. Monthly plans may be canceled at any time and stop renewing at the end of the current period.

4. The ninety day proof

For your first ninety days after your storefront goes live, if Detail Near has not booked you more revenue than the subscription cost you over that period, we refund the subscription fees you paid during those ninety days. The proof does not apply when (a) you did not run the marketing or operational pieces we recommended, (b) you paused or limited inbound bookings during the period, or (c) the booking and revenue data cannot be verified. Request the refund by writing to [email protected] within fifteen days of the ninetieth day.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Send marketing messages to recipients who have not consented under TCPA and CAN SPAM, or who have opted out.
  • Upload data you do not have the right to process.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or load test the platform without written permission.
  • Use the platform for businesses outside the mobile car detailing trade unless we agree in writing.
  • Probe or attack our infrastructure or that of our subprocessors.

We may suspend an account that violates these rules or that creates legal exposure for us or other tenants.

6. Your data, your customers

You own the customer records, bookings, and content you create on the platform. We are a processor of that data on your behalf. The privacy policy describes what we collect and why; the data processing addendum applies to tenants subject to GDPR or CCPA. You may export your customer records as CSV from the admin console at any time. On cancellation we delete your row level data within thirty days.

7. AI features and disclosures

Detail Near uses large language models from third party providers (currently DeepSeek, X.ai, and Anthropic) to draft messages, classify photos, and propose pricing. AI output is generated automatically and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing AI drafted content before sending to a customer when our admin marks it as draft. We do not allow our model providers to train on tenant or customer data. We log AI calls for billing and quality review.

8. Service availability

We target 99.5 percent monthly uptime measured at the admin and storefront origins. Status is published at /status. Maintenance windows are announced in advance when planned and reported after the fact when unplanned. We are not liable for downtime caused by upstream providers (Cloudflare, Supabase, Stripe, Resend, SimpleText, Google Calendar) or by force majeure.

9. Pricing changes

Pilot tenants who signed under founder pricing keep that pricing for twelve months from the start of their subscription. After that period or for non pilot tenants, we may change subscription pricing with at least thirty days notice; you may cancel before the new pricing takes effect.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription from the admin console at any time. We may terminate your account for cause (violation of section 5, non payment after fifteen days, or material breach of these terms) with written notice. On termination we make a final CSV export available for thirty days, then delete your row level data per the privacy policy.

11. Warranties and liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the AI will produce specific outcomes, that bookings will increase by a specific number, or that integrations will remain available beyond the upstream provider's control. The ninety day proof in section 4 is your sole remedy for the platform not increasing your revenue. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts; both parties consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page and emailed to tenants at least fifteen days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
